Founded in 2015, Lavish Roots Catering is a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) established by Carly Duke, Ann Lamb, Brandon LaVielle, and Evan Garrard. The trio initially met while attending South Seattle College’s Culinary Arts Program, and Ann later joined the team to form their successful partnership.

From a commissary kitchen in West Seattle, we’ve come a long way to building a state-of-the-art kitchen and training facility in Burien, Washington. Our goal has always been to create a unique company culture that treats our team with respect, recognizing their professionalism, and delivering world-class hospitality to our guests. Carly Duke, also known as “C Duke,” “Normandy Duke,” or “The Human Pocket Knife,” is the driving force behind Lavish Roots Catering. A mother of two, Carly is our go-to for anything, both personally and professionally. She’s a true multitasking expert and never stays in one place longer than she needs to be.
Ann Lamb | Vice President
Originally from Ohio, Ann brings her southern charm to Lavish Roots Catering. She’s a mother of two boys and draws energy and inspiration from her family. In her free time, Ann enjoys a perfectly tempered glass of red wine or the darkest beer she can find.
Brandon LaVielle, CEC, WCEC | Director of Culinary
Meet Chef B, or “BLaV” as he’s known to most. This proud girl dad loves spending time with his family, and traveling. When he’s not cooking, he can often be found coaching youth sports. Chef B is known for his infectious smile and positive attitude, always asking how you’re doing. As he likes to say, “Make it a Great Day!”
Evan Garrard | Executive Chef
Meet “The Wizard” or “E$”, our passionate chef with a Florida background. Despite his many nicknames, there’s nothing abbreviated about Chef Evan’s culinary skills. When he’s not busy in the kitchen, he enjoys reading science articles, collecting patches, and playing golf. But above all, he loves to cook, and you’ll definitely want to try his creations. How about starting with a Double Crown on the Rocks?
